We cannot think of the future without delving into the past. Marketing as a function has evolved over the decades, but there is one movement that shifted the focus from the elite to the common.

The movement presented a challenge to the traditions of fine arts and celebrated imagery from the mass culture, commonly through irony; instead bowing down to the monopoly & nepotism of the elitist culture.
